North Kohala Library to celebrate 1st birthday

Jenna Nickl

Exactly a year after the grand opening of the new North Kohala Public Library, a party celebrating the library’s first year of service. Last year, people from all over the community, state and even country came out to support the long awaited grand opening of the North Kohala Public Library. Even the governor, Linda Lingle at the time, showed up to take a look at the final product of the funding she released funding for a couple years before. The first birthday party will also commemorate the Great Huki Puke which occurred a couple of weeks before the grand opening. The library’s first birthday party will feature music by John Keawe and have hot dogs, cake and games for kids. Please stop between 3 and 5  today (Nov. 7) for a fun filled afternoon celebrating the library’s first year!
