The monster hurricane that hit the Florida Keys last Sunday as a Category 4 storm was downgraded to tropical storm status as it finally pushed its was out of the state and into Georgia, where it caused more misery. In Florida at least 10 or more people have lost their lives from Florida to South Carolina during the storm. Hurricane Irma altered the beach landscape along the southeast coast and has made part more vulnerable to coastal erosion and flooding.
