Discover-Engage-Explore. That’s the Advancement Via Individual Determination–also known as AVID–program’s motto, but what does it mean? How does AVID prepare students for college and career success? Find out at Kohala High School’s annual AVID Ohana Night on Wednesday, September 20th from 6-8pm in the KHS Cafeteria, where AVID students from the entire Kohala complex will share their work with the community. Student speakers will host demonstrations, share college information, and display samples of AVID classwork. Refreshments will be served and all are welcome to attend; we’ll see you there!
