FAFSA Finish Event Nov. 9th &18th

Miranda Canniff, Reporter

If you’re a Junior or a Senior, you’ve probably heard it by now–”FAFSA”, short for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. It sounds like a scary thing, you have to finish it in order to get financial aid for college–but how? Where do I even start?

Find out at Kohala High School’s FAFSA Finish Event on Thursday, November 9th at 5:30pm or at a second session held on Saturday, November 18th at 9:00am at the High School.

If you’re planning to attend college, the FAFSA deadline for most colleges is February 1st. Attend a FAFSA Finish Event and you’ll be one step closer to affording college. The workshop is an entirely free resource for Kohala’s students and parents. If you’re planning on attending, don’t forget to bring your 2016 IRS tax return information.

If you’d like to get started on the FAFSA before the workshop, you can find more information and fill out the application at https://fafsa.ed.gov/.
