Russia banned from 2018 Winter Olympics

In the 2018 Winter Olympics about 90 countries will be represented, but one outstanding country that won’t be represented is Russia. The International Olympic Committee has banned Russia from the 2018 Winter Olympics for its state sponsored doping. The doping was said to be in affect during the 2014 Winter Olympics. Though Russia is banned from competing as a country those who are from Russia who are able to compete in the Olympics will be known as Olympic Athletes from Russia and march under the Olympic flag.
