Minimum Wages Increased January 1
February 26, 2018
The minimum wage in Hawai’i went up $0.85 on January 1, 2018. The starting pay will now be $10.10 instead of $9.25, which is a large increase. Throughout the years, minimum wage has wavered quite a bit!
For instance, in 2007, the minimum wage was $7.25, in 2015 it went up to $7.75, and in 2017 it went up to $9.25, and just recently jumped to a bigger starting pay. This is great for all beginning employees!
