1.) Put yourself out there.

Make an effort to meet new people.  An easy way to do that is to get involved in your community.  Sign up for a club or group of some kind (volunteer!).   Social media is a good way to meet new people online.

2.) Find like – minded people.

Like – minded people are all around you, even if you don’t know it.  Seeking them out isn’t hard because, remember, there are 6.8 billion people in the world, so it is most likely that thousands of people also like something that you do.

3.) Find different – minded people.

Different – minded people are just as important as like – minded people.  As friends, they can support you and possibly inspire you in finding a hobby.

4.) Avoid the fear of trying new things.

It’s as simple as that.

5.) Try a new hobby with a friend.

Everything is better when you have a friend or companion (maybe even a like – minded person) by your side in a new environment.

6.) Get involved  and committed.
