The last two years of boys and girls basketball seasons has been required to practice and condition in the public park gym, which is also being used for a great amount of other activities with the middle and elementary school.  I understand the condition we are in regarding the school gym and we have no other choice but to practice there, but time management has been difficult for boys and girls.

This year and last year, girls practice is usually from 6:30pm – 8:00pm, and boys practices are from 8:00-10:30, which is a time that all of us should be in bed already.  We haven’t had much trouble, but majority of the boys I see at practice, are slowly falling sleep at school, making it hard for them to stay up and keep up with their academics.

I respect that the school is working on the gym and doing their best to keep up the process, but even I am tired when I come home and when I wake up in the morning.  I don’t mind sharing the gym at the park, but the only available time we have for practice is super late and gets me easily exhausted.
