Second Government Shutdown To Be Expected?

Kamaile Gusman, Reporter

President Trump recently signed a bill, reopening the government for 3 weeks while negotiations about the border wall continue. The 5 week government shutdown caused over 800,000 workers to live without pay for over a month, and cost the economy approximately $11 billion. The 2018-2019 government shutdown was the longest ongoing shutdown in history.

Trump has also expressed recently that he believes another government shutdown may be an option if congress are unable to satisfy his demands to fund the border wall. He doubts that he would accept anything less that $5.7 billion nor does be believe that he would ever accept the DREAM Act proposal. See reference articles below for more details.
