What will be the next chapter of your life?

I interviewed two seniors who are on their way to adulthood. As I interviewed them, it seemed like they have almost everything planned out. So let’s get into finding out their plan!

The first senior I interviewed was Jessa-May Campollo. The first question I asked was, “ What do you plan on doing after high school?” She said she plans on going to college to get her Associate’s Degree in Science Nursing. I then asked, “What college, or colleges are you looking at?” She replied, “I am planning on staying in the State, so I will most likely go to either UH Mānoa or Kapiʻolani Community College.” My next question was, “What made you decide that college was one of the things you wanna do when you graduate high school?” She said, “I want a good job in the future and I believe the only way for me to do so, is to go to college.” The last question I asked was, “How do you plan on paying for your college tuition?” Jessa-May sayid that her parents have been saving money for her college tuition since she was in kindergarten, but she also plans on working to earn more money before going off to college.

The second senior that I interviewed was Justus Ventura. The first question I asked was, “What do you plan on doing after High School?” He said he plans on going to college and majoring in Business or fine arts. I then asked “What college, or colleges are you looking at?” He said that he will be attending Grand Canyon University. My next question was, “What made you decide that college was one of the things you want to do when you graduate high school?” He said that he decided to go to college to have a change in scenery, he wants to experience new things, and wants to learn new valuable key skills; also to look into the careers he is interested in. The last question that I asked was, “How do you plan on paying for your college tuition?” His response was, “I plan on paying for my college tuition by working on school breaks and in the summer before I leave. I also have a savings account as well.”

Good luck to all of our Kohala High School seniors in their next chapter!
