Class of 2013 Takes This Year’s Homecoming

With a theme of “Rope Them Wildcats”, this year’s homecoming brought out the true school spirit of Kohala High. Although the boys basketball lost their JV and Varsity games against Konawaena on Saturday, the week was still filled with fun activities.

Students dressed up for Neon Day, School Spirit Day, Sports Day, Wacky Day, and Class Color Day. During recess everyday there were opportunities for students to play games and earn points. The Friday assembly was definitely the highlight of the week. Groups of boys from each grade put together routines for the much anticipated Powder Puff. The Sophomore class of 2015 came out on top, winning the Powder Puff overall! Sophomores were also able to win the Spirit Yell.

Classes had also been working on their banners and parade floats. The Freshmen’s hard work definitely paid off. They not only placed first for the banner, but for their float as well. Good job class of 2016! The parade through the town was a great success.

After much calculation, the Senior class of 2013 had earned the most points. Dress-up points, placing second in Powder Puff, and placing second in Spirit Yell helped get the seniors their first homecoming win.
