Kohala Student Credit Union bonds with fellow branches

The only 3 student credit union branches of the Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union met up last Saturday at the Kaloko branch to bond and discuss topics related to the thriving success of each branch. By the end of the 4-hour conference, the Kohala, Konawaena and Kealakehe branches found themselves not only acquainted but also collaborating on ideas for group service projects.
Throughout the day, each branch had their own tips to bring to the table. Konawaena, the first branch to be created, took charge of creating a Facebook page for discussion amongst the branches. Kealakehe, an enthusiastic group of girls, presented the first edition of the newsletter after being inspired by Kohala’s monthly newsletter. Kohala’s own branch, the largest among the three, then gave a mock meeting to demonstrate the process of the branch’s monthly meetings.
Overall, the 3 student credit unions are looking forward to collaborating on new service projects as well as expanding their individual branches.
