Students Exploring With Dance

Kohala High School’s new teacher, Ms. Lambeth, has brought something new to Kohala High School: dance! This year Ms. Lambeth is teaching three classes – jazz, hip-hop, and tap. Classes are from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. on Monday (Jazz), Tuesday (Hip-Hop), and Wednesday (Tap), and the best part is, itʻs free! Although these are the only classes offered this year, Ms. Lambeth is skilled in so much more. Most of the students (and teachers) participating in this yearʻs dance classes are all new with these types of dance and are excited to learn more.

Eloisa Viernes and Chaslyn Yamamoto are so enthusiastic about the schoolʻs new program that they are participating in all three dance classes.

Eloisa says, “Having a dance club is good for the school. Itʻs a new experience for me and itʻs fun!”

Also with positive feedback Chaslyn stated, “Dance is fun, I wish that it could be every day!!”

Ms. Lambeth is slowly teaching everyone new steps and small parts and aims to get the dance students prepared for performance level.
