Movie Night Under the Stars

Have you ever wanted to go to an outdoor movie? Now you’ll have the opportunity! Kohala High’s Learning Abroad Club will be showing outdoor movies as part of their fundraising to go to the British Isles. They are raising money for their trip that will take place next spring break. The club is made up of about 20 juniors and seniors with their adviser Jessica Brown. The event is open to the community and families are encouraged to come. Admission will be free for everyone and donations will be gladly accepted. The outdoor movies are going to become a regular event, with the Learning Abroad Club showing movies on Saturday night every two weeks.

The movies will be shown on a 12′ x 12′ high quality screen. It belongs to the 21st Century grant but they are allowing the club to use it for their movie nights. A concession offering popcorn, candy, and drinks will also be available at the event. The Learning Abroad Club hopes to eventually offer food items so movie goers are advised to continue coming!

The first movie that is going to be played is the recently released “Now You See Me”. It will be shown on the blacktop at Kohala Elementary School starting at 7:00 pm this Saturday. This will be a great chance to have a movie night under the stars! Kohala Learning Abroad appreciates your support and hopes to see you there.
