This past weekend on October 5, 2013 our town had its annual Kohala Country Fair. Vendors from all over the island came down to Kohala to show their talent from food to jewelry. It was filled with many festivities. There were plenty of food options. If you were hungry for a Filipino or Mexican dish, they sure had it! The keiki of the town were either busy jumping on the castle, riding the train or getting their nails done. Entertainment included Hula dancers, Ho’aikane, Taiko Drummers, and many more.

Many of our own Kohala High School students  and faculty were hard at work! Kohala High’s Learning Abroad Club was selling smoothies, doing face painting, and painting nails by donations. Miss Nicole Pasalo was selling her cute jewelry attracting young girls to elderly ladies. Aunty Theresa was selling bradda pops and food.

It drizzled here and there but rain or shine the Kohala community still came out to celebrate and made it fun!
