Kohala Learning Abroad Fundraisers

The Kohala Learning Abroad Club is counting down the days to their trip and it’s crunch time for their fundraising. Their trip is not until March of next year but the club would like to have the funds raised by this January. They have started a new fundraiser this week and that is selling ice cakes after school. Several members of the trip will be outside of the Home-Economics room on non-tutoring days ( Wednesdays, Mondays, and Thursdays) to sell the sweet treats. Right now the flavor they are selling is strawberry for $1. These frozen delights are very popular among students as well as staff members. The students sell at least two pans every time and are hoping to continue the fundraiser for as long as they can. These ice cakes are selling like “hot cakes” so get yours soon!

Kohala Learning Abroad has also been continuing their Movie Nights Under The Stars. This past one, however, had to be held inside the school cafeteria due to bad weather. Pacific Rim was played and the crowd heartily enjoyed the movie. Keep your eyes out for the next schedule movie night.

The club still has a lot of work to do and money to raise but they appreciate all the support from the community.
