American Jungle Under Investigation

The TV show American Jungle is under investigation for illegal hunting in the state of Hawaii.  The second episode featured the cast hunting at night, which is illegal on private and public land at all times.  The fist episode depicted “the spear clan” hunting a cow.  It’s illegal to hunt feral cattle without a special permit, and it would be advise to only kill bulls, where in the show it was clearly a cow.  The American Jungle producers requested permits to film on forest land, but they were denied by the state.

“This appears to be a fictional ‘reality’ production with no connection to actual hunters in Hawaii,” Governor Neil Abercrombie said in a statement.
