Seniors: Don’t Catch Senioritis!

Kauanoe Gusman, Reporter

In the beginning of the school year, seniors barely felt like seniors. It didn’t settle in that this year would be the year they would graduate. Now, lots of feelings have changed and first semester has flown by quicker than anyone expected. Winter break is gone and now the countdown really begins.

The class of 2014 has less than five months left as students of Kohala High School. After that, they’ll be walking down the line and becoming alumni. Although their time is short there is still a lot to be done whether it’d be from working on senior project, student activities, or just doing regular schoolwork.

At this time the seniors just have to make sure that they don’t catch senioritis. Senioritis according to urban dictionary is “a crippling disease that strikes high school seniors. Symptoms include: laziness, an over-excessive wearing of track pants, old athletic shirts, sweatpants, athletic shorts and sweatshirts. Also features a lack of studying, repeated absences, and a generally dismissive attitude. The only known cure is a phenomenon known as graduation!” So seniors: please don’t catch senioritis. There is still much to be done and accomplished, and graduation is so close!
