Harlem Globetrotters come to Hawaii!

Genevieve Boyle, Reporter

An afternoon of fun for family and friends! The Harlem Globetrotters are coming to Kealakehe in Kailua-Kona on Sunday, April 28, 2014. The Harlem Globetrotters began in 1926 as the Savoy Big Five. Now more than 85 years and 20,000 games later, the team has become one of the most recognizable franchises in sports.  They’re an exhibition basketball team that combines athleticism, theater, and comedy.

The team is currently on their 2014 “Fans Rule” World Tour. Fans can go online to harlemglobetrotters.com to vote on what rules they’d like to see  the 3 p.m. exhibition, including hot hand jersey, make-or-miss and trick-shot challenge.

After every game they’re there to sign autographs and take pictures.

Tickets are $30 and there are also special group rates available. Go get your tickets now for an afternoon of fun and laughter with great entertainment!
