Wheel of Fortune Comes Back to Hawaii!

The famous show Wheel of Fortune is coming back to Hawaii! To celebrate their 32nd season they will be taping 4 weeks of shows in 2014. The last time that they came to Hawaii was in November of 2008. They will be coming to the Big Island at the Hilton Waikoloa Village. According to Executive Producer Harry Friedman on the KHON2 website, they have recorded at the Hilton 65 times before. There is no set date for the show at the moment. You can tune into KHON2 news for more information about dates.

Wheel of Fortune is an American television game show hosted by Pat Sajak and hostess Vanna White. It premiered it’s first episode on January 6, 1975. The show then got cancelled in 1991. But then it got syndicated on September 19, 1983. The show continues to air to this day. Sajak and Vanna have been the hosts of the show ever since.  As of April 11, 2014, there has been 6000 episodes of the syndicated version of Wheel of Fortune. Wheel of Fortune is seen on weeknights in Hawaii at 6:30p.m. on KHON2

If you want to be a part of the Wheel of Fortune game show or know anyone that does, contestant auditions will be held on Hawaii, the Big Island in late May; and on Oahu in late June for individuals, and married couples, as well as best friends who are not related. You must be 18 years or older to audition.
