The JV softball Cowgirls brought home the win against Konawaena Wildcats on their third away game. These girls played a tough defense with three up-three down; they kept one another up and alive by cheering and having a smile on their faces.

Antonette Fernanadez (#12) started off the game as the first one up to bat, bunting it and making it safe on first due to an error. Desha Yamasaki-Cazimero (#10) was next up to bat and hit an infield fly and an out by the pitcher of the Wildcats. These girls were having a hard time hitting and got struck out left and right. It didn’t phrase them, because they have a strong defense, the only ticket to winning the game. Kaila Tabiolo-Amaral (#2), playing center, tracked down the balls and caught them.

These girls did a wonderful job. Throughout the whole game there was only one error that made the Wildcats score on the Cowgirls, due to a bad throw. Kailena Kaaekuahiwi says “Everyone stayed positive and never hung their heads. They also stayed together as a team”.  Nicole Castillo stated, “Everyone tried their hardest and persevered throughout the game.”
