Baseball Season Comes To An End

The baseball boys traveled to Konawaena on April 17th to play the first round of BIIF playoffs. The Cowboys had a double header against the Wildcats. This game was not only to determine who advanced to play for the Division 2 BIIF title but also to seal a spot at states.

The first game of the day for the Cowboys and Wildcats was at 11:00AM. The Cowboys were leading until they got into the 7th inning when Konawaena caught up to them and tied, forcing extra innings. One mistake can cost you the whole game and sadly that’s what happened to the Cowboys. The Cowboys lost to the Wildcats by one point in extra inning, 10-9.

The Cowboys needed to win the second game to continue on to Saturday’s game, but the boys season ended that day when they lost their second game, giving Konawaena a spot at states and the chance to play for BIIF tittles. Even though the boys didn’t place in BIIFs, they still made some good plays and enjoyed their season.
