It was a tough season for the Kohala’s Varsity Softball team starting the season a little shaky by losing there first three games against division 1 teams. They started to make a comeback on April 1st against Kealakehe winning with the score of 13-3. They later on went on to beat HPA, Konawaena, and Honokaa. On April 18th Kohala traveled to Kamehameha and lost with the score being 11-0. At that time their standing score was 6-4. They later went on to playoffs to see who would stand at 2nd place for division 2, and won two of their games on their home field against Honokaa both ending in a TKO. This led them to a place in States. Kailena Kaaekuahiwi said she is very excited to go to states because this is her first time going to states. On May 1st and May 2nd the Kohala Softball team will be traveling to Old A’s Park in Kona to Play against Kamehameha. This game will decide who will take the BIIF title and after that they are on their way to Oahu for States! They will be traveling to Oahu for States on May 11th-May 16th. The whole Softball team is ready for whatever is being thrown at them and are ready to show what Kohala is capable of.

Good Luck Cowgirls!!!
