Kamehameha Day Parade

This years Kamehameha Day Parade will be on June 11 and theme will be “Na Ohana ‘O Kohala”. It is planned to honor families and provide an enjoyable day filled with music, food, and activities for all ages. The event will start at the Kamehameha Statue in Kapa’au shortly after 7:30 AM. The Hawaiian societies that come every year will present a ho’okupu to share lei, chant and sing in honor of Kamehameha I. Individual offerings and lei draping will follow. This year’s Hawaiian Islands will be represented by local keiki riders in association, to the theme of family. The Pa’u Parade begins at 9:00 AM near the North Kohala Community Resource Center in Hawi.
