Brush Fire Burns Through Kawaihae!

Breaking news! Saturday evening, a brush fire burned through most of Kawaihae leaving nothing but 4,500 acres of burnt land. The brush fire managed to cause a blackout in Waimea and caused the Internet and TV to go out. All rumors lead to the fire being caused by a cigarette that was still lit and thrown into the dry grass. The main road leading to Kohala was closed off. Vehicles started piling up at the road closure leaving many citizens to be stuck in traffic.

As citizens watched the fire from the Waimea scenic point, ranchers were prepared to try and stop the fire using bulldozers and equipment trucks. Last minute firefighters came into the rescue to try and stop the brush fire from spreading. The fire started dying down slowly and the roads opened after the fire completely died out.
