France launches attack on Syria With the help of Russia

I’m sure all of you know already that last week was one of the most horrific weeks for France as ISIS attacked France’s capitol Paris.

There were a number of places that these terrorist attacked. One of them was at a soccer stadium during a game between France and Germany when the person blew himself up outside the Stade de France stadium, which can hold 80,000 people, after being denied entrance even when he had a ticket. There were still other attacks besides the Soccer Stadium that occurred last Friday. One of them was at a music venue called Bataclan. Eighty-seven people died there and multiple people where taken hostage. The other place that this horrific tragedy took place was at Le Petit Cambodge a restaurant in the tenth district of Paris.

President Obama later announced, “Once again we’ve seen an outrageous attempt to terrorize innocent civilians. This is an attack not just on Paris, it is an attack not just on the people of France, but this is an attack on all of humanity and the universal values we share.”

Almost immediately France launched an all out attack along with the help of Russia. Now whyis Russia helping you may ask? Russia earlier this month had an airliner that was blown out of the air and landed in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula killing 224 people aboard. Together they took the first steps towards a military alliance to take down ISIS together. President Vladimir Putin said, “Our air force’s military work in Syria must not simply be continued. It must be intensified in such a way that the criminals understand that retribution is inevitable.” France’s President Francois Hollande and Russia’s president Vladimir Putin will meet on November 26th.

According to CNN ISIS was expecting this and evacuated all key facilities. One of them was the city’s stadium which served as a headquarters and the jail for ISIS. So far no causalities have been confirmed.
