On December 2, 2015, at 11am, there was another very unfortunate mass shooting that occurred in San Bernardino, a city located in California. It is said that two assailants opened fire at a party in the Inland Regional Center resulting in 14 people being killed and 21 others were wounded. Police say the shooters did some degree of planning and were heavily armed and tactically attired. After a car chase, two suspects were killed; Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik. It is not yet confirmed, but a federal law enforcement source said that investigators are leaning towards a “combination of terrorism and workplace” motive.

Snapchat is a social media app that can share photos and videos with other Snapchat users. It also has the ability to share photos and videos to the entire Snapchat community from users at events or, in this case, a horrible experience. As a result of this feature on the app, Snapchat covered the events occurring after the shooting and gave insight to other Snapchat users of exactly what was happening due to the mass shooting. Many Snapchat users expressed their condolences to those affected by the shooting while others decided to show the world the aftermath of a mass shooting.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the victims, as well as the victim’s families, involved in this tragic event.
