On Saturday, Feb. 28th, the Kohala Boys Volleyball team traveled to Christian Liberty Academy in Hilo to compete in a four team tournament for schools that had less than 300 attending students. The other three teams were Ehunui from Kona, Ka’u, and the one and only CLA.

All teams competed against each other in a best of 3, round robin session. Then, according to their wins and losses, were placed in an elimination bracket. Kohala won all games in the initial matches, and faced off against Ka’u in the finals. Unfortunately, Kohala lost this match.

The experience helped both newcomers and veterans become accustomed to this year’s season and prepare for future games.

Kohala’s next game is on Thursday, March 3rd, at HPA, the reigning division champions.
