Mormon Tabernacle Choir Performance and Information

The world renowned Mormon Tabernacle Choir of Salt Lake City, Utah has been performing live every Sunday morning on a live broadcast known as “Music and the Spoken Word.” This year commemorates it’s 88th year since Music and the Spoken Word was first broadcasted in 1929.

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir are known to go on tour, and perform in different venues besides the Tabernacle and the Conference Center on Temple Square. They perform in concerts during new years, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Pioneer Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

The choir members on Temple Square are of a total of 360 singers who are humbly dedicated, and voluntary with ages ranging from 25-65 years of age.

Anyone who’s interested in joining the choir will go through auditions, attend rehearsals with the Temple Square Chorale, and be sustained as the newest choir member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir during General Conference. Rehearsals with the choir is every Thursday from 7:30 P.M. until 9:30 P.M. in the evening.
