Mack Wilberg Of The Mormon Tabernacle Choir

In 2008, Mack Wilberg was appointed the director of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on Temple Square. He served his LDS mission in South Korea and became part of the “New Horizons,” a member of the Missionary mens choir. After his mission, he attended BYU Provo in Utah to study composition, arranging, and conducting. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in music in 1979. He concentrated on piano and more composition. He graduated with a masters degree and a PHD, a doctorate degree in music and serves as a conductor of the BYU Men’s Chorus, and the BYU Concert Choir.

He currently serves as a conductor to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and orchestra on Temple Square along with Ryan Merffy, the associate director to the choir. They hold public rehearsals every Thursday, and occasional rehearsals on Tuesdays in preparation for General Conference and live concerts.
